A Horrible Incident

Last week on 31st of March there was a horrific incident occurred in Girish Park, Kolkata, West Bengal.
I know these area from my childhood days and very well aware of the condition there. People from Kolkata very well know that what is North Kolkata all about. It is congested with old buildings with narrow lanes and roads half covered with vendor shops. Some of the buildings in North Kolkata is of 100 years old and in a verge of breaking down anytime. I really feel amazed to know that authorities has planned to create a flyover in such a  road that too without proper planning and materials.
The result is in front of us. The under construction bridge collapsed taking huge toll of people in a bright sunny afternoon.
I am away from my city but can feel how the people killed in that massive accident has suffered.
Every incident that happens there touches my heart deeply. I remember my friend messaging me that "it is not safe to stay here anymore. You don't even know when you will die". I felt very bad. Is this the same city I was born? Is it the same Kolkata which I proudly say as my own city. Of course I will continue to say that but how can we stop this deterioration.

I feel scared every time as my parents, my relatives,my friends still stay there.  I fear of losing them like these people lost their dear ones.

Sharing a picture taken from internet about he incident.
