An exciting Weekend in Mangalore - DAY 1

This weekend was the most exciting weekend for me. I enjoyed it a lot.
My brother-in-law was in town to spend the weekend with us. He works in Bangalore and so we invited him to come over in a weekend and enjoy the city. This weekend was for 3 days as we took leave on Friday for the occasion of "Chandramana Ugadi", followed by our usual off-days of Saturday and Sunday.

He reached here on Friday morning. I prepared french toast and orange juice for breakfast followed by a simple lunch comprising on Rice, Dal and Cauliflower curry. He liked it a lot. He was very excited and want to see the city so we decided to go out after our lunch.

First we watched the movie "Jungle Book" in the theaters. It was nice we liked it. Especially I was thrilled to watch a movie wearing the 3D glasses for the first time. The theater was in the biggest mall in Mangalore which is just beside the sea. The food court here has a magnificent view of the sea. On the other side of mall we get to see the awesome view of the entire city of Mangalore. It was so nice,
We took a couple of pictures of that magnificent view.

From there we went to the famous Panambur beach to get a view of the sea more clearly. Usually this is the most crowded and busiest beach here. As it is a weekend, lot of people were there bathing in the sea, enjoying the various water rides or seating in the sand and enjoying the view. It was the time of sunset and view was magical.

As it was getting dark we decided to leave the beach and went to the most important place here.
I must say, anybody who is here in Mangalore even for a day should go this place at least for ones. OH ! i have not written the name yet!! It is the famous "PABBAS", the most renowned ice cream parlor of the town. Before coming here we didn't know that my Bro-in-law was such a huge ice cream lover.

He was quite surprised seeing the parlor so big where you have literally stand in queue with the token number and wait for your turn. Ones the person calls out your number you have quickly enter the parlor and be seated where the management people tells you. You have to share table with other people unless you have enough people to fillup the entire table. Now you have order the icrecreams from a menu. There were several names of the icecreams with the picture. We ordered, Dlikhush, Parfait and Pabbas special ice cream.
Dilkhush is a boat like plate comprising 3 scoops of icecream of different flavor accompanied with falooda, nuts and fresh fruits.

Parfait is also same but with different flavored ice cream and it comes in big glass.

But the special one was Pabbas Special. It is totally customized. Once you order for that you have to ask for a form with list of ice cream scoops and sauces. You can choose your ice cream flavors and sauces as a topping.

Bro-in law was so happy that he ordered another one and this time it was "Tiramisu", all about chocolate. Personally that is my favorite here as I am die hard chocolate lover.

We have already decided that we will be taking dinner as a takeaway from Daanish. For your information Daanish offers super tasty Grilled Chicken in Mangalore. Though there are other delicacies too but Hubby and me liked the Chicken the most. Often we come here to pickup a parcel full of yummy Grilled chicken. So it is our duty to treat my bro-in-law with such a fantastic dish. So, After roaming around in City Centre for a while we went to Daanish. After coming back we jumped into those delicious chicken pieces grilled to perfection, Juicy and very tasty accompanied with Paratha and a lip lacking onion salad and mayonnaise. To end that wonderful dinner we had a glass of Thumsup and went into the World of Dreamz...
